I'm totally, utterly excited. I just feel like this year's gonna go better than all my other years. It's in the middle of the calendar year right now, but I actually feel like "new (academic) year, new me!" I just feel like I'm actually changing for once, and for the better.

I feel like I can do things!

I'm trying to capture adulthood as if I lived in the 2000s. Yeah, cringe and hipster, but there was a certain je ne sais quoi to that 2000s/2010s aesthetic. Recently, I've become a little obsessed with accessing the internet as it was in my childhood. Such a magnificent time to be a kid. So troubling and yet so perfect. Is it odd that I wouldn't mind living in a Life is Strange-esque world? Even so, I wouldn't want to be that age again. I feel perfectly me in my 22-year-old skin.

Here's a life update: I've got night classes (6pm-9pm) 4 days out of the week, every week, for my entire term. At first I was a little iffy about this — pissy, too! But now that I think about it, I get to have the waking hours for my free time, and fully capitalize on being free while the day's alive. And then, night rolls around, I'll retire to the classroom. Today's my first day on this schedule, and it's currently morning, so I'll have to see. Here's to hoping.

Here's my soundtrack for the days to come, and for my train ride on the way to campus later. By the way, big life update: I'm on a new medicine. I don't know if it's just placebo, but it sure does feel like it's changing my life.
